We want to personally advise you of changes taking place at Barwood. These changes are purely operational and you will see no disruption or change in the quality of our service.
For more than 43 years we have operated our company by owning our vehicles and the required licenses, and hiring independent contractors as drivers.
Our new business model will be structured as a co-op. Drivers will have the opportunity to purchase vehicles and licenses and use the Barwood brand, dispatch system and other amenities to essentially operate their own transportation service.
In order to make this change, we must file Chapter 11 reorganization. Although this is a bankruptcy filing, we are not going out of business.
Providing excellent customer service has always been paramount to us at Barwood. It is that principal that we have built a reputation on as an industry leader of transportation services. We fully intend to be in business for a long time to come.
There is no need to worry about customer service or safety. Drivers will still be required to uphold the principles and standards of Barwood and adhere to Montgomery County taxicab regulations.
